TCGplayer order history limit updates

I have some good news. I contacted TCGplayer and they provided the following response:

Greetings, this is a temporary change as we are actively working to improve the order history experience for all our community members, especially as we head into the bustling holiday season. Our teams are currently focused on enhancing the stability and efficiency of this feature for the future.

We apologize for the resulting inconvenience, and we truly value your patience as we work through these necessary updates behind the scenes.

So hopefully the “All Time” feature will be back, and faster than ever.

In the meantime, I recommend that all users set their TCGplayer order limit to 120 days until it’s fixed. The instructions are outlined below:

1. Click the OrderWand icon
2. Click the “Options” link
3. Click the “TCGplayer order download limit” drop list and choose “120 days”
4. Retry loading the TCGplayer data

TCGplayer limiting order history

In a bit of unfortunate news, TCGplayer has apparently decided to limit their order history data to the last 120 days only. They previously permitted viewing all data. This has the side effect of preventing OrderWand from downloading any data after those 120 days.

I know that to many of you, this order data is very valuable to track your collection as a collector and track your expenses as a vendor, so I intend to reach out to TCGplayer to see if they would consider restoring it.

Troll and Toad outage

Troll and Toad seems to have removed it’s prior ordering system and replaced it with Shopify. That means you will no longer be able to export orders from Troll and Toad.

OrderWand 4.1.0 - Options screen, TCGplayer download limit & more

• Options screen with configurable TCGplayer download limit
  • Added Options screen with a configurable option to limit the number of TCGplayer purchase downloads to “last 30 days”, “last 60 days”, “last 120 days” and “all” days (default)
  • To use it, click the “Options” button on the OrderWand window and choose an option from the “TCGplayer order download limit” field
  • The feature prevents users with very high number of purchases from receiving an HTTP 500 server error while attempting to download their order history
  • Special thanks to ThursdayNightMagic for sponsoring this feature. They buy a boatload of cards from TCGplayer, and the TCGplayer web site was failing to load their order history. This new feature saves them dozens of hours a month, so they were eager to get it added quickly. • Fixed eBay product quantity issue
  • It was previously setting the “Quantity” field to “NaN” or “null”, which is how fixed.
• Previous order performance issue
  • Now the previous order notifier (badge) does not trigger if a users has over 30,000 downloaded products, so they do not experience computer slow downs when viewing TCGplayer product pages.
• Search link to product
  • Added a direct link to the product on the search screen, if the product was downloaded from TCGplayer.
• Clear/Delete All moved
  • The “Delete All” link has been moved to the beforementioned Options screen and renamed it to “Clear all downloaded data”.

OrderWand 4.0.0 - TCGplayer sales export

This release includes the frequently requested TCGplayer sales export! See the details below.

• Sales itemized product list
  • TCGplayer only exports the order summary. OrderWand exports each itemized product associated with the order. Several OrderWand users have asked for this, as it helps with tax and inventory purposes.
• Sales order data fields
  • Order type: “purchase” or “sale”
  • Fee amount: The TCGplayer vendor fees
  • Refund amount: If the product was refunded, includes the fee amount

OrderWand 3.3.0 - Moxfield and Deckbox collection exports

OrderWand 3.2.1 - eBay and price bar fixes

• eBay no purchases fix
  • Fixed an issue where if you have no eBay purchases for an entire year, then OrderWand displays multiple errors when attempting to load the year in question.
• Search bar price total fix
  • Fixed the search bar summary label to accurately show the total amount of whatever was searched. It was previously ignoring the quantity.
• Added a couple minor cosmetic enhancements

OrderWand 3.2.0 - product search and alread purchased support

• Product search
  • Added search bar that searches as you type
  • Search results show purchase date, quantity, product name, set name, purchase price and the vendor
  • Search results summary that shows total quantity and price
  • Tool tip window that shows all information about each product, including order information like taxes and shipping
• Already purchased badge support
  • When you visit a product page on TCGplayer, OrderWand automatically sets the badge to the number of purchased products
  • Also, when clicking the OrderWand button, the search box will automatically be populated with the product name and search results
• Totally revamped interface
  • The new search tool takes up a lot of space, so it was necessary to reimagine the entire interface
  • The CSV and JSON export has been consolidated into a small section
  • All of the order links are now arranged on a single line
  • Added help links to the export and order links directly to the help pages on the web site
• CSV date improvement
  • Now the order export CSV dates in the ISO 8601 format, which makes it easier to sort data in Excel or a database
• Fixed CSV export bug
  • When a product name had more than one double quote, this would corrupt the CSV file. This is now fixed.

OrderWand 3.1.0 - CSV export improvements, Holofoil support, date fix

This release adds a lot of minor, but impactful features, as well as fixes multiple bugs. See the list below.

• CSV export enhancements
  • Added “Total Amount” column (amount multiplied by quantity)
  • All order products are sorted by the item number
  • Re-ordered the columns to be easier to match other ordering systems
  • The first row of each order contains the tax and shipping amounts, instead of on each line
• Holofoil support
  • TCGplayer has a special “finish” type called “Holofoil” and “Reverse Holofoil” for Pokemon cards. OrderWand now loads these separately.
• TCGplayer order date fix
  • All dates of “September” were getting set to “December”. This is now fixed.
• eBay taxes and shipping
  • I set all eBay taxes and shipping to $0.00. This is because eBay does not provide taxes and shipping in the API that OrderWand uses. See FAQ for more details.
• Card Kingdom ordered at date issue
  • Card Kingdom ordered at dates were incorrect under some circumstances. This is fixed now.
• Minor fixes
  • Sometimes OrderWand was showing “No new orders found” when there were orders
  • Remove the browser “tabs” permission, since it’s no longer necessary
  • Cleaned up some OrderWand download progress window logging message

NOTE: You will need to delete and reload your order data for these changes to take effect. Click the OrderWand browser bar icon and click the “Delete all data” link and click “OK”. Then reload your data.

OrderWand 3.0.0 - eBay support and fully automated downloads

I’m happy to say that OrderWand 3 is finally done! It took a ton of work, but I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

• Fully automated downloads!
  • At the request of many OrderWand users, now orders are automatically loaded with OrderWand. Just go to the order screen and watch OrderWand download all available orders!
• eBay support
  • I’ve wanted to add eBay supports since I started OrderWand a couple years ago, so I’m thrilled so say I’ve finally added it.
• Currency support
  • Along with eBay, I’ve added currency type support. So now the tool collects if it’s USD (US Dollar), CAD (Canadian Dollar), etc. See the order data fields documentation for details.
• Multiple architectural improvements
  • It took a major rewrite of OrderWand to add the automated downloads, and along the way I made multiple architecture enhancements to it.

  • Added a green badge to the plugin that tells you the number of orders were loaded from the active order screen

  • Adds Shipping Status for TCG Player, so you can tell if something is canceled or shipped with/without tracking

  • Fixed a bug where the card set name was missing if there was a photo in a TCG Player order
  • Fixed an issue with Card Kingdom where it didn’t load your email address
